I can’t even begin to think of the opportunities for this relish. It goes nicely with the palate’ even all by itself.
I wanted a bit of a “Thanksgiving” taste but without all the fuss, so i made up some turkey burgers with toasted garlic/ sage buns. Topped the burger with some of this sweet/tangy relish and served with oven fried taters drizzled with a tad of gravy…
Place in small pan~
1 large sweet onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup cranberry sauce
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1 tablespoon water
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Cook on medium-low heat till onions are crisp tender. If necessary, add another teaspoon water.
The turkey burgers were not dry at all, had great flavor, hubby didn’t say much while he was eating, which is a rarity…and he ate 2.
2 lbs turkey burger
2 eggs
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
6 hamburger buns
1 tablespoon butter, soft to spread on buns
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
garlic powder
Mix together first 7 ingredients.
Grill patties about 5 minutes. Or you can place on racks over a lipped cookie sheet and bake at 400 for about 7 min.
Butter rolls, sprinkle poultry seasoning and garlic powder on top. Broil till very lightened.
I hope you enjoyed and will try this, it’s something different from the usual same weeknight meals.
Comments are very much-loved and appreciated. Thanks!
