Venison Pot Roast w/ Juniper Berry BBQ Sauce

>This is the time of the year when so much gets slow cooked in the oven or crockpot. Who can’t resist the delightful aromas drifting throughout the house as your loved ones are anxiously awaiting digging into that tender goodness.
Justin from Marx Foods sent me a few samples of some of their outstandly fresh spices, salt, berries and peppers which i decided to use a bit in this recipe. I am not really a fan of venison for some reason, though i do like buffalo and moose.
Also, Solo Foods had sent me some of their fruit filling i knew would go great with the flavors.
To jazz it up a bit i thought of a diffrent sauce to make with it to help with my fear of the slightly gamey taste, and it worked!
I browned the roast on all sides in a cast iron skillet, then mixed up the bbq sauce and added it all to the crock pot and let simmer for hours.
